A Buyer’s Checklist for Indian Women’s Textiles

Start with the collection

Identify the garment types, intended customers and season before requesting a quotation. For saris, clarify length, border and blouse-piece requirements. For kurtas and salwar sets, specify the size range and exactly which pieces are included. A reference image helps communicate style, but does not replace a written specification.

Check the fabric and finish

Ask for fibre composition, fabric weight, embroidery or print details and care instructions. Where relevant, request evidence for colourfastness and shrinkage. Review a physical sample against your specification; photographs alone cannot establish fabric quality or fit.

Agree the assortment and packing

List quantities by size, colour and design rather than only a total order quantity. Confirm labels, individual packing, carton contents and acceptable tolerances in writing. These details make quotations easier to compare.

Prepare your enquiry

Include your item list, quantities, destination and sample requirements. Luisha Trade can review your enquiry; availability, minimum quantities and commercial terms are subject to confirmation.
